PUBLIC SKATING
Just about anyone can strap on a pair of steel blades and discover the chills and thrills of gliding across the ice, and the Public Skating sessions at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium allow you to come in and enjoy the coolest fun around. Every Public Skating session you'll hear the hottest hits through our amazing sound system, and during our Disco Sessions we also crank up the big screen projector and play the latest video clips for the true MTV Experience.

If you're a beginner, we also have skating frames available at all sessions except for the Friday Night Teen Disco to enhance your learning experience.
 You'll notice that on the Session Times page, our weekend Super Session Public Skates run for a whole four hours from 11:30am to 3:30pm. Just be aware that at any time during the Super Sessions you can come for a quick skate at 1pm and leave after a few hours, no problem!
If you want to stay for the whole four hours because you're having too much cool fun, then we'd love to have you here for the duration!
The only thing is that no pass-outs are provided.
CANTEEN
Now, if you start feeling a tad peckish, or are a parent who just wants to relax whilst the kids enjoy their frozen fun, then there's the canteen area where you can grab a quick snack or a drink, or the lounge where you can sit down and unwind. As well as hot favourites like hot chips, pies, sausage rolls, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and toasted sandwiches, there's also hot coffees and cool drinks, chips and chockies, and a large range of ice creams and ice blocks.
(just be sure you finish your food before you head back out onto the ice!)
